If you want access to any gym in South Africa, that’s a Premier membership, and the discount is 50 percent.

Collection memberships, which give access to all local and international clubs, are also 50 percent off.

If you’re adding adult dependants who are 18 years or older, they get 50 percent off no matter which gym type they choose.

Club means you have access to just one Virgin Active gym.

Premier gives you access to any Virgin Active in South Africa, except Collection gyms.

Collection gives you full access to all gyms across South Africa and internationally. This is perfect if you travel often or move between cities.

No problem. You can still link your membership to Discovery Vitality and start saving.

First, make sure your Vitality membership is active. We can help you check.

Then, take your Discovery information to your Virgin Active branch. Or, we can organise someone from their team to contact you directly.

Your current gym contract will be converted into a Vitality-linked contract. There might be a small fee for this, but it’s often worth it in the long run.

Quick tip: You don’t need to wait until your contract ends. Switching mid-contract could lower your fees immediately. Just speak to a consultant to confirm what’s possible.

Every time you work out at Virgin Active, you earn Vitality points.

Parents get access to Club-V for their kids.

There are youth-friendly contract options for dependants.

Plus, you’ll be linked to Active Rewards, which gives you extra perks for staying consistent.

You earn 100 points for every Virgin Active workout you do in person.

Each adult can earn up to 30,000 fitness points per year.

To stay on the highest discount, you need to complete at least 36 workouts in a 12-month period.

Each workout needs to last at least 30 minutes. That works out to just three visits per month.

If you drop below 36 visits, your discount will reduce to 50 percent automatically.

But once you hit 36 visits again within any 12-month window, the 75 percent discount comes back.

So the key is to keep showing up now and then. Vitality rewards consistency, not perfection.

Go to your nearest Virgin Active gym.

Bring your ID and Discovery information.

Pay a once-off activation fee. This is usually equal to one month’s standard gym rate unless there’s a promotion running.
