It’s Discovery’s way of rewarding you with discounts on fitness gear, wearable devices, and Nike performance products for staying healthy and hitting your goals. It’s not a points system — it’s real savings, upfront, when you buy. 

You can get: 

• Up to 25% off sports gear and equipment every month 

• Up to 50% off fitness devices and Nike performance shoes/apparel 

This is your monthly fitness reward, like a gear allowance.

You get up to 25% off sports gear and equipment (like padel balls or skipping ropes).
The discount applies to the first R1,000 you spend per person each month, with a maximum saving of R250.

Where to redeem:

• Totalsports

• Sportsmans Warehouse

• Choose your preferred store each month in the Discovery app

• Generate a QR code or discount number in the app

• Show it to the cashier before paying

What to know:

• This benefit is available every month

• It does not apply to items like sandals or supporter wear

To get the full 25%:

• Complete your Vitality Age assessment

• Do your Vitality Health Check

• For family policies, both the main member and spouse must complete these every 12 months

Tip to maximise your rewards:
If you’re buying two items over R1,000, split the purchase:

• You use your code for one

• Your spouse uses theirs for the other

• That means R250 each, or R500 total in savings

Occasional High-Value Rewards

This is your big win category. The more consistent you are with your workouts, the bigger the reward.

What you can get:

• Up to R2,000 off a fitness device (like Garmin or Suunto)

• Up to R2,000 off Nike performance shoes

• Up to R1,000 off Nike performance apparel

These discounts are based on your Vitality Active Rewards goal streak.

How the discount works:

• Base discount: 25% (earned by completing your Health Check and Vitality Age)

• Every 5 exercise goals completed (not necessarily in a row) gives you an extra 5%

• The maximum discount is 50% after 25 successful goals

• You can redeem at any time, but once used, your discount resets to 25%

Important note:
Each voucher can only be used on one item. If you want to buy two items, generate separate codes and check them out separately.

Pro tip: Stack your streaks

• Complete 25 goals = 50% off

• Redeem it on a R4,000 device = R2,000 saved

• Hit another 25 = 50% off Nike shoes

• Save another R1,000 or more just by staying active

How to redeem:

• Open the Discovery app

• Go to the Vitality menu

• Tap on Active Gear

• Choose your reward type and partner

• Generate a QR code or discount number

• Show the code to the cashier before paying

Reminder:
Each code is valid for one item only. Keep your Nike gear and foam roller separate at checkout to use both rewards.
